Professional Rapid Fire Flash with Industry Leading Heat Resistant Design
Introducing the Nissin MG80 Pro, a powerful professional quality flash designed for high volume wedding, event, and location photographers.
The MG80 Pro's robust heat resistance, flexible battery options, including lithium ion battery support, and advanced wireless control system (it's a Transceiver) make it a natural choice for wedding and event photographers.
The Nissin MG80 Pro is the successor to the well-regarded Nissin MG8000, incorporating the latest wireless and battery technology, among a host of other improvements.
The MG80 Pro is available in Canon, Nikon, and Sony versions.
Superior Heat Resistant Design
The MG80 Pro relies on a superior heat resistant design and materials, including a quartz flash tube, to allow a high volume of continuous flashes before heat protection interruption (flash tested at 3 second intervals).
The term "bare flash" used in the table below refers to the flash with the external fresnel zoom head removed. This allows for more efficient heat dissipation by exposing additional cooling vents in the flash head.

Advanced Built-In Wireless Up To 300' with Intuitive Controls
Nissin's interface makes it easy to control your flash without having to deep dive into obscure flash menus. The most commonly used flash functions are quickly accessible including, TTL flash compensation, manual power, flash zoom, and the 8 watt modeling light.
The MG80 is a Transceiver, which means you can use it as the on-camera commander for your off-camera flashes, or you can take it off-camera and use it as a remote flash by attaching another MG80 or Nissin Air10s Commander to your camera's hot shoe. The built-in Nissin Air System wireless radio controls up to 8 groups at distances up to 300'.
Versatile Battery System Takes Li-on, NiMH, or Alkaline Batteries
Running out of power on a shoot is simply not an option for professional photographers. Nissin's patented "Wide Variety Battery System" gives photographers the choice of 14500 Lithium Ion, NiMH Rechargeable, or Alkaline Batteries.
The high capacity 14500 lithium ion battery option provides fast recycle times of 1.4 seconds and long battery life with up to 360 full power flashes (1000mAh batteries).
LED Modeling Light
The Nissin MG80 Pro includes an 8 watt LED modeling light built into the flash head that can be used to preview the light and shadows when positioning off-camera flashes. When the MG80 is located off-camera, the modeling light can be controlled from either the Nissin Air 10s Commander, or another MG80 set to Commander Mode.
Premium Professional Build Quality
The MG80 Pro is built to withstand the rigors of professional use. Every version of the MG80 Pro, including the Sony multi-interface shoe version, features a metal hot shoe for increased durability. Nissin Japan and ExpoImaging support the MG80 Pro with a limited US warranty.
Using Light Modifiers with the MG80 Pro
Nissin Digital recommends removing the external zoom head cover when attaching light modifiers directly to the flash head.
