Nissin Flash Reset Instructions

Resetting your Nissin flash or commander to factory settings may help fix some common problems.  Please follow the steps below for your flash model.  Resetting your flash will reset pairing (for NAS flashes) and other settings, so you will have to re-pair the flash after resetting it.

To Reset a Nissin Air10s:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. In order to reset all settings (which will also remove pairing with your flash), reset the unit by: 1) powering on the unit, then 2) pressing and holding the pilot light button for about 5 seconds while the power is on.

To Reset a Nissin Air1:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. In order to reset all settings (which will also remove pairing with your flash), reset the unit by: 1) powering on the unit, then 2) pressing and holding the mode button for about 5 seconds while the power is on.

No Reset Required for Nissin AirR:

No settings are retained in the AirR, so no reset is required on the AirR.

To Reset a Nissin MG80 Pro:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. In order to reset all settings (which will also remove pairing with your flash), reset the unit by: 1)turning the unit on, then pressing and holding power button for about 5 seconds.

No Reset Required for Nissin MG10:

No settings information is stored in the MG10, so there's no reset procedure for this flash.

To Reset a Nissin i60A:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. In order to reset all settings (which will also remove pairing with your flash), reset the unit by: 1) powering on the unit, then 2) pressing and holding the pilot light button for about 5 seconds while the power is on.

No Reset Required for Nissin i40:

All settings are automatically reset whenever the i40 is turned off, so no reset is required.

To Reset a Nissin Di700A:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. In order to reset all settings (which will also remove pairing with your flash), reset the unit by: 1) powering on the unit, then 2) pressing and holding the set button for about 5 seconds while the power is on.

To Reset a Nissin MF18:

Settings are retained in this model's built-in memory even after powering off or after removing batteries. To reset the flash use the arrows on the control unit to select the purple icon with white wrench on it.  Press the down arrow button to “Reset”, then press the right arrow button to “Yes”, then press the “Set” button to confirm the reset.
